The Loose Wheel, Barossa Cabernet 2023
This Cabernet is dedicated to our grandfather Cedric, who lost a wheel on the old tractor trailer when delivering fruit during harvest… one of those classic moments of, do you laugh or do you cry?
We first made this wine in 2011 in the back shed with some "left over" grapes - this was then saved and served at Emily & Matt's wedding, who were married by our family friend, ex-winemaker and pastor. But this is the first time that our wine is available to the public.
Gomersal Block, Barossa Shiraz 2023
This Shiraz is dedicated to our parents, Philip and Katrina, who taught us to work hard and aim high. As we grew up on the vineyards, many weekends and school holidays were spent in the vineyard, working hard towards the end goal, together.
Coming together to now produce wine for sale, is our way of creating a full circle and sharing with our friends and family, generations of hard work.
Bellatrix, Barossa Grenache Rose 2024
This Bellatrix Grenache Rose is dedicated to Elsie Belle – our female warrior, 7th generation Neldner Wine Co. Conquering her brave cancer battle, farewelling her brain tumour in 2024.
We created this Rose with the first crop of the young vines after deciding that there was enough yield there and the delicate little berries had great flavour and we saw the potential for a great wine to be made.
Every bottle sold of the 2024 Rose will donate $2 to Ronald McDonald House Charities - very close to our hearts, as they homed Emily & Elsie for 11 weeks during 2023 when they had to be in Adelaide for Elsie's radiotherapy treatment. A home away from home, they provide care for hundreds of families yearly, who need to be at arm's reach of a hospital for extended periods of time.
